PIECED WORKS
My studio is a small world in which a thing may germinate, grow, blossom, and sometimes languish until it finds new life in a new form.
It is in that sense of cyclical life (as in a terrarium) that the work in this gallery is generated. It begins with collage elements (usually derived from fragments of encaustic monoprints considered interesting but insufficient) randomly adhered to a surface (usually an earlier "finished" image mounted on wood), and then enriched with acrylic paint.
